Makes arc welding sheet metal easy. A reduction diode lets you use AC arc welders that can be set to 80 amps or less. The diode reduces output by half, so sheet metal as thin as 22 gauge can be safely welded. All circuits have a 100% duty cycle. The arc is self-starting so there is less chance of the rod sticking.
